In the novel The Newspaper Man, the author Yang Kui uses first person narration, the intersection of space-time and contrast method to organize events, create characters, and express his thoughts of ethics. Narration becomes a unique and powerful tool by which the author conveys his knowledge, emotion, values and faith to the readers. The work persists in the fusion of the free narrative ethics and the ethics for the people, rather than pure free narrative ethics.
