The material composition design, smelting casting program development and implementation process points for a high and medium pressure outer cylinder castings were introduced, and the control on smelting process for G18CrMo2-6 material was comprehensively expounded. Combined with the quality and mechanical performance requirements of castings, its smelting processability to control was judged, and further optimization measures were explored.
