On the Translation Model for C-E Political Writings

意识形态的约束给政论文献的英译带来特殊的难度,这主要表现在对译文的"忠实"要求极高。文章提出以"认可度"来衡量和化解这一难度。"认可度"由动态规范构成,以双语的文本模式为基础,根据社会文化的具体环境来确定读者对译文的大致认可幅度,进而选择相应的翻译模式。

The ideological meaning in Chinese political writings makes their translation a hard job for the trans- lator. The research in this field usually focuses on specific difficulties such as the translation of heavily ideology- loaded political terms or phrases. This paper focuses on translation models for such writings, and suggests Accepta- bility of the translated text on the part of the English reader as their basic target. The Acceptability consists of a set or sets of norms based on different factors, including English and Chinese language peculiarities, texts models, po- lifical situations and so on
