《枯河》是一个时代的悲剧。莫言以儿童的视角,展示了其从美到丑、以丑为美、化丑为美的审美观。通过对一组意象的不断叠加构建了奇特的整体意象群,其独特交叉的叙事方式和主观性的感觉描写,叙述了亲人间冷漠的情感和封建势力对人们的毒害,通过小虎被毒打之后感觉世界的异化来表现弱者的悲惨境地,使小说具有独特的创作特色。
