German woman writer Gudrun Pausewang＇ s three subject matters, namely, upholding the ecological justice in the Third World, peacefully objecting to war, and protecting nature, have been the historical miniature and true -to -life portrayal of the envi- ronmental protection movement in the Western society since the 1970s and 1980s, as well as human being＇s mental pursuit and fine wish to return to nature. The paper emphatically analyses Gudrun Pausewang＇ s educational ideologies on eco - enlightenment, in con- nection with her ecological novels, which are characterized by reality, story, fantasy, maturity, interest and enlightenment, in order that Chinese youngsters can be educated to cherish a dream for a beautiful China, make contributions towards the construction of eco- logical civilization, and realize the Chinese people＇s permanent development.
