Adaptation,Affinity and the Creation of Meaning——A Study on Hong Shen's Adaptation of Lady Windermere's Fan

洪深改译王尔德名剧《温德米尔夫人的扇子》为《少奶奶的扇子》取得重大成功的原因之一在于改译者保留、放大了原剧中与中国文化的契合元素。从哲学阐释学的认识框架去看,这种改译策略表达了在新文化的求新潮流中对本土文化的关切,实现了意义的创生,具有存在论意义上的伦理价值。

One of the major reasons for the enormous success of Hong Shen＇ s radical adaptation of Oscar Wilde＇ s Lady Windermere＇ s Fan is his retaining and expanding of the Chinese elements of the English play. In the light of Philosophical Hermeneutics, the authors recognize the ontological ethical value of such translational strategies for their creation of meaning in the context of the early 20th century China.
