Xi Jinping was elected General Secretary of the Communist Partyof China （CPC） Central Committee at the first plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee on November 15, 2012. Xi was elected Chinese President at the fourth plenary meeting of first session of the 12th National People＇s Congress, China＇s top legislature, on March 14, 2013. After the first plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, Xinhua News Agency published a profile of Xi, which highlighted his political ,journey and offered a glimpse into his family life.
