Li Xueyong, Deputy Secretary of Jiangsu （in East China） Provincial Party （Conlmunist Party of China） Committee and Governor of Jiangsu Province, presented a work report during the opening ceremony of tile First Session of the 12th Jiangsu Provincial People＇s Congress, which was held on January 20. In his report, Li explained the provincial government, in one of its 10 projects to improve people＇s lives in 2013, had included measures to care Ibr ＂left- behind＂ women （whose husbands left home to work）, ＂left-behind＂ children （whose parents left home to work）, and floating and transient women and children.
