A basketball court is the special spatial field where people play basketball. This article will discuss some related issues about basketball courts from the perspective of competitive sports. According to the research, the elements of basketball competition venues include shape, scale, texture, color, direction, and design. The relevant limits and illustration of competition rules and related facility rules for these elements make up the ＂basketball court rules＂. The change of the shape, scale, and texture will directly influence the development of basketball tactics; texture, color and design elements will influence the athletes＇ performance. There should be some court-adaptability exercises before the competition; the FIBA is striving to push the construction of basketball court standardization forward; color and design elements are the key contents to consider in the design of a basketball court; basketball courts＇ （sports flooring） surface color and pattern, stadium lighting, ground distance etc. will influence the audience＇s appreciation of basketball sports.
