试析惠特曼诗歌的音乐性

Analysis of the Musicality of Walt Whitman's Poems

惠特曼的自由诗没有严格的音步格式和押韵格式,但他诗歌的音乐性主要体现在向上的节奏,多样的变奏,并列、重复、对比的手法和具有音响感的音韵。文章对惠特曼诗歌艺术价值充分肯定的同时,也从形式到内容揭示其诗歌的美学和哲学意义的统一及其深远影响的原因。

Walt Whitman has been famous for his free verse with no strict foot and rhyme ,which requirs poems to be musical. However, the musicality of Whitman＇s poems lies in the rising rhythm, variations by pausing, prolonging, enjambment, alternation of parisyllabic words or words with different syllables, using of juxtaposition, repetition, comparison and frequency of eye rhymes or metrical sounds in a line or between lines. The analysis helps revealing its great value of aesthetics and philosophy, as well as the reason of its profound and lasting influence.
