The production technology for intercropping of forest and grain and forest and grass used in the Yellow River Irrigation Area of Ningxia during the recent years axe elaborated in detail in aspects of intercropping with different width, machine models suitable for mechanized operation, crop species suitable for intercropping production and planting patterns. The technology is meaningful for making full use of the space resources and solving the problem of large population with small land in the Yellow River Irrigation Area of Ningxia and the land utilization conflicts between forest and grain and between forest and fruit trees.
