The Philosophical Reflection on Language Vagueness

语言模糊性是自然语言的基本属性,其研究历来受到学界关注。以中西方学者的相关分析为研究背景,以辩证唯物主义为理论基础,从认识论的新角度,对语言模糊性的来源和存在理据进行哲学剖析,发现模糊性与生俱来,与明确性共生共存,相互转化,循环反复。

Language vagueness is the basic attribute of natural language, which has drawn broad attention of the academic circles for years. Under the background of relevant studies made by the scholars at home and abroad, this paper adopts the dialectical materialism as rationale to make a philosophical reflection on the origin and existence base of language vagueness from a new angle of epistemology. It is pointed that vagueness of language is innate and coexists with preciseness. The result also indicates that both vagueness and preciseness can be converted to each other repeatedly.
