定海知县缪燧研究

Study of Miao Sui:a Magistrate of Dinghai County

清朝年间,缪燧作为舟山定海一名知县,缮城浚濠,葺学宫,建祠庙,减免赋税,修水利,除海盗,把设治之初、兵燹之后疮痍满目、百废待兴的海岛建设成了渔盐农商渐渐复苏、社会环境日趋稳定的地方。缪燧知县曾获得康熙皇帝的三次嘉奖,作为一名知县,能够赢得皇帝如此重视,可见其功绩卓越,名垂史册。

Miao Sui was a magistrate of Dinghai county in Zhoushan during Qing Dynasty. After taking up the office, he did many things to help Dinghai, including building walls and losses, setting up schools, building ancestral temples, exemptin local taxes, building irrigation works, arresting pirates, etc. Under his arrangement, he made the bad islands to a good place which fishery, salt, agriculture and bussiness were recovered and the society was stable. Miao Sui had gotten rewards three times by emporer Kangxi, which made him leave a name in histo~.
