To train graduate students＇ innovative ability is the core of graduate education and the demand of knowledge economy era. This paper discusses the common problems of graduate students＇ innovation ability. According to these problems, it puts forward some countermeasures on improving the innovation quality of the graduate student, elaborates the importance of highquality teachers in the graduate innovation. And paying attention to the basis, strengthening the training of incentive mechanism, and building up a good aca demic atmosphere is an important direction to improve the quality of graduate students training in the future.
