Pure painting has a very important connection with art design. The discussion of the aesthetic requirements and artistic forms is a very important subject of art design outside of function discussion. Traditional watercolor paint- ing with its unique aesthetic characteristics, such as the combination of art design specialty teaching, will be a devel- opmental process of promoting each other. The article mainly discusses its feasibility to search for theoretical basis for the combination of both.
