英法现实主义文学的异同与原因探源——以《简·爱》和《包法利夫人》为例

Exploration of Reason and Differences and Similarities of Realism Literature in Britain and France ——Take "Jane Eyre" and "Madame Bovary" as an Example

英国与法国在19世纪现实主义文学中取得了举世瞩目的成就,而其艺术上又各自呈现出鲜明的特色。本文运用勃兰兑斯《十九世纪文学主流》中的文学批评理论,以中法两部以女性为聚焦点的小说《简.爱》和《包法利夫人》的对比为例,采用比较文学平行研究的方法,来挖掘英法现实主义文学的异同及其成因。

Realism of the 19th century in both Britain and France was eye - catching in terms of the achievements and unique artistic characteristics. Employing the critical theory in ＂Main Currents in Nineteenth Century Literature＂ by Georg Brandes and the approach of parallel study in comparative literature, this article discovers the differences and similarities as well ws their reasons of realist literature in Britain and France by comparing ＂Jane Eyre＂ and ＂Madame Bovary＂, both of which focus on female characters.
