鲁迅“硬骨头”精神的物质基础

The Material Basis of LU Xun’s “Hoe” Spirit

鲁迅的"硬骨头"精神一直为人所津津乐道且总是被拿来与当今的知识分子做对比。实际上,鲁迅的这种精神有其产生的物质基础,那就是鲁迅所处的特殊社会环境与较为优越的生活条件。鲁迅在上海期间居住在租界,可以免受国民党迫害;鲁迅是名作家,他依靠稿费与版税可以过上较为丰裕的生活,而不用仰仗任何组织与团体。这些条件使得鲁迅可以仗义执言,不用看人脸色。脱离这些物质条件,一味称赞鲁迅的"硬骨头"精神,恐怕对鲁迅是一种误解,对当今知识分子也是不公的。

In fact, the creation of ＂hoe＂ spirit of LU Xun had its material basis that can be attributed to the special social environment and LU Xun＇ s better living conditions. The facts that that LU Xun Lived in foreign concession in Shanghai could exempt him from the Kuomintang persecution, and as a famous writer, he could rely on royalties and contributor fees to live a more affluent life instead depending on any organizations and groups let LU Xun speak boldly in defense of justice without looking at others＇ faces. To eulogize blindly Lu Xun＇ s brave spirit without considering these material conditions is probably a misunderstanding on Lu Xun and is also unfair to comment on today＇s intellectuals
