Taking Shanghai Greenland New Jiangqiao City as an example, the article explores how to implement the high energy-efficient standards in the whole design and construction phase of affordable housing from the initial stage and how to build high-quality and energy-efficient affordable housing projects in order to face the new challenges which to build the affordable housing community in Shanghai into a developed, livable, and sustainable exemplary residential community.
