Kengo Kuma＇s practice in China has consistently upheld the principles of regard for spatial experience, weakening space borders and respect for material itself. This article attempts to excavate the various facets of the design process of the Zhi Museum in Xinjin in search of the point of departure and procedures of Kengo Kuma＇s architectural and reflexive logic.
