Rong in the Spring and Autumn Period and Their Geographical Distribution

戎是先秦民族史中重要的组成部分,对先秦尤其两周历史进程的发展与走向,华夏文化的丰富、多样化,华夷之辨思想的出现,以及加速华夏民族的形成等方面都起到重要作用。春秋时期,戎在史籍与出土青铜铭文中多有出现。本文在考辨相关史料的基础上,以期对春秋时期诸戎的分布地域有清楚的认识。

An important group in the ethnic history prior to the O^n dynasty, Rong played significant roles in the historic development of that period, especially of the Zhou dynasty, enriching the Huaxia culture, influencing the differentiation between ＂hua＂ and ＂yi＂ and fostering the emergence of the Huaxia. Rong in the Spring and Autumn period are recorded in various historical documents and inscriptions on excavated bronze vessels. This paper studies related historical records to show the geographical distribution of Rong during that period.
