Campus Evolution in the Social Development——The Review of Tsinghua Campus

清华大学发展的百年,正是中国社会从传统社会向现代社会剧烈转型的百年。本文以中国社会的三次转型为背景,梳理了在不同的社会价值观、教育理念及空间规划思想影响下,清华大学校园的发展历程,并以社会发展的时序为主线,分析了校园与城市关系的变化,以及各阶段校园空间的扩张、更新与重构。

Tsinghua University＇s development over a century has coincided with the radical transformation of China from a traditional society to a modern one. Set against the background of three major transitions during this period, this paper attempts to chart the development of the campus of Tsinghua University under the influences of different social values, educational philosophies, and physical planning theories. By organizing itself around the chronological order of social development, it also analyzes changes in the relationship between the campus and the city and the spacial expansion, renovation and reconstruction of the campus at various stages.
