大众化背景下地方高校发展应着力实现的重大转变

Shifts for the Development of Local Universities in the Background of Mass Higher Education

高等教育大众化为我国高等教育发展带来了重大机遇,也带来了严峻挑战。有效应对这一挑战,地方高校发展应着力实现三大转变,即由追求大包大揽的全覆盖式服务,转变为重点服务地方经济社会发展的某些行业或方面;由盲目追求综合型、研究型,热衷发展研究生教育,转变为着力发展应用型本科和职业技能型教育,优势学科专业适当发展研究生教育;由笼统强调通才教育、片面否定专才教育,转变为以心智教育为基础的高素质专才教育,培养高素质专业人才。

Mass higher education brings about both opportunities and challenges to Chinese higher education.In order to meet such challenges,local universities should realize three shifts： from offering cover-all service to mainly serving certain industries of local economy;from pursuing to establish a comprehensive and academic university to giving preference to technical education while developing graduate education in some leading disciplines;from insisting on general education to advancing high-quality expert education based on liberal education.
