廖序东先生的《楚辞语法研究》,是我国第一部对《楚辞》进行系统语法研究的专著。该书对《楚辞》中的虚词和特殊句式作了深入细致的描写,揭示了许多新的语言事实,对汉语语法史研究乃至文学鉴赏都具有重要的借鉴意义。

Mr Liao Xu-dong Grammar Study of Chu Ci is the first systematic monograph on the grammar of Chu Ci. The book gave a thorough descriphion on empty words and syntax in Chu Ci, and found a lot of new language facts, The book is of great in- fluence on the study of the history of Chinese grammar and literature appreciation.
