摘要
对外宣传在国际交流中起着桥梁作用。随着网络技术的发展,各大城市也加强了对外宣传的力度,纷纷推出了英文网站。在这些网站的英文信息存在着不少的问题。本文拟以杭州HI CENTER英文门户网站为例,对其英译文存在的社会文化意识差异淡漠问题进行分析,并探究产生这些问题的主客观原因,以冀对城市外宣材料英译提供借鉴。
With the development of network technology, many cities also strengthen the. municipal propaganda via launching English websites. In these sites, we find that there exist many problems. This paper intends to take Hangzhou HI CENTER English portal website as an example and analyzes the insensitivity in cultural differences in the English translation. By exploring the objective and subjective reasons, the author expects to provide reference for city publicity -oriented translation.
