工作转换对农民工收入的影响——基于珠三角两代农民工的调查

The effect of Job Transfers on Income of Migrant Workers: the Comparison of Two Generations of Migrant Workers in Pearl River Delta

由于成长背景、家庭负担、教育水平以及思想差异等因素的不同,一代农民工和二代农民工在对待非农工作的态度上存在差异。前者更看重丰厚的收入养家糊口,后者更想融入城市生活,他们更看重工作的体面性、发展空间、舒适度,不再看重单纯工资收入。因此通过频繁的工作流动,一代和二代农民工不断寻找适合自己的工作。我们采用2008年珠三角地区农民工进行的问卷调查,研究了职业流动对这两代农民工收入的不同影响,实证发现职业流动对一代农民工收入会产生显著的影响,但对二代农民工收入的影响却不显著。在校正了遗漏变量和样本选择性偏误可能导致的内生性问题之后,结论仍然成立。

As the growth background, family responsibilities, education level, ideological differences and other factors, the first and second generation of migrant workers are different on the attitude of non - farm work. The former pay more attention to lucrative income to feed their families, while the latter would like to integrate into urban life, and they are more value the on dignity of work, the development of space, comfort, and income level is no longer a simple and important factor. Therefore, through frequent work fransfers, the first and second generation of migrant workers continue to look for a suitable job. We use the survey data of migrant workers in Pearl River Delta region in 2008 and study the effect of occupational mobility on the income level for the two generations of migrant workers, and we find that the effect of occupational mobility on the first generation of migrant workers is very significant, but that on the second generation of migrant workers is not significant at all. After the adjustment for missing variables and sample selection bias which may lead to endogenous problem, the conclusion still holds.
