Study on Driving Force of Urban Sprawl in China in the Period of Rapid Urbanization

随着城市化进程的加速,蔓延式增长已成为我国城市空间扩展的主要方式,城市空间的无序扩张和蔓延造成诸如交通拥堵、耕地被占、绿地被蚕食等一系列问题。因此,从自然、市场、政府、技术及社会价值等方面探索我国城市蔓延形成的动力,分析自然地理环境、经济发展、人口增长等制度环境变化对城市蔓延的影响,使我国城市化发展更具科学理性,从根本上促进我国城市经济可持续发展。

paper fundamentally explores the driving force of urban sprawl in China in the period of rapid urbanization based on aspects of natural factors, market factors, goverranent factors, technical factors and social value factors, then analyzes how natural geographical environment, economic development, popu-lation growth, income increase, improvement of commuter conditions, change of the land use regulation en- vironment, improper land use planning and failure of planning, land development boom driven by interests, development of information technology, environmental value and social value of the open space affects urban sprawl. Finally, we put forward relative suggestions to alleviate urban sprawl.
