Yard and Architecture Life and Modeling

针对中国当下热议的庭园话题,通过形态、植物等6个方面的议题分别探讨,指出与西方庭园作为建筑造型避难所或造型瞻仰地不同,中国人一直将庭园视为建筑敞向自然生活的情境重心,因而,从生活而非造型的视角,或能反推中国传统建筑造型的生活内涵,而非再一次将中国庭园视为新一轮的中国式建筑造型的空间符号。

As a frequently discussed topic currently, different from the western yard which is always deemed as refuge or place of worship, Chinese people regard the courtyard as an architectural area where their lives open to the nature all the while. For this reason, from the aspect of life instead of modeling, we might be able to retrieve the meaning of life from the traditional architectures, instead of considering Chinese courtyard as a new Chinese symbol of spatial modeling.
