In waterproofing projects, polymer modified waterproof building materials are a new type of water- proof building materials, which have wide application and development prospect. The review introduces the classifica- tion of waterproof building materials, the waterproof mechanisms of polymer modified waterproof building materials, the application features of polymer modified waterproof building materials in different waterproofing projects, the preparation approaches for common polymer modified waterproof materials, and some progresses in present studies.
