摘要
用速率方程对光纤光栅外腔半导体激光器 (FBG- ECL )的静态工作特性进行模拟计算 ,获得了这些特性同器件结构参数和工作条件的关系。用自行研制的光纤光栅与增透半导体激光器管芯耦合 ,获得了边模抑制比大于 40 d B、线宽约为 0 .1 nm的单纵模工作的实验结果 。
Static operation characteristics of an external cavity semiconductor laser with fiber Bragg gratings are simulated by using the rate equations. Relations between its longitudinal mode characteristics and parameters and operating conditions of the device are derived. Single mode operation with side mode suppression ratio more than 40 dB, spectral linewidth nearly 0.1 nm is realized experimentally by coupling an AR coated semiconductor laser with a fiber Bragg gratings fabricated by authors. The experimetnal results are mostly coincident with the simulation.
