Field bus technology is the basis of digital power plant.As a technological progress, it replacethe traditional hard wiring. However, field bus technology encounters problems when it is applied in the power industry, such as high cost and non-obvious application value. In this paper, through the analysis of the development of field bus, we points out that the lower cost and better use valueis the development strategy that must adhere to in the market competition.
