This paper presents the resent situation of all kind of method of the optimization in the design of water-flow distribution,and then develops and reports the method of optimal tree in accordance with the imperfections of them.This method can be applied simply to multitudinous water supply sources.This optimizing technique can minimize the sum of network.The application of it makes a significant meaning on the reform and augment of water distribution network in old urban area.
