Twenty years after Deng Xiaping took his tour of southern China,Shenzhen has once again become the focus point of a pilot program. Over the past two years the Qianhai area of Shenzhen has been undergoing massive development with new roads,buildings and artificial land areas under constant construction.However,the significance of what is happening here goes far beyond construction.In July of last year,the State Council emphasized its support for the development of a pilot program for the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone. With support of the central government at hand, it looks like Shenzhen will once again become the center of a nationwide capital investment drive.
