At the same time of ensuring the services for university＇s teaching, scientific research cultivation, university library constructs the literature database with local characteristics, being beneficial to university library＇s influence. This paper introduces the collection scope of local literatures of the library University, expounds the scheme of establishing the database of characteristic literatures by the library University, and probes into the promotion, propaganda and utilization of the characteristic database.
