沈从文对生命的关注是多层面多视角的。在《边城》里,作者站在"乡下人"的叙事立场,以民俗视角表达湘西人民的生命意识。小说通过对赛龙舟、对歌、丧葬三个苗族民俗活动的叙述,反映和传递出湘西苗族人民的生命意识。

Shen Congwen pays close attention to life in a multi-level and multi-perspective manner.
