“X(de) Y”: An Extreme Evaluation Expression in Chinese

"X(的)Y"是汉语中的一种极性评价表达式。该构式所转指的义域类型具有多样化特点。属种范畴错置是其建构机制,双域特质彰显是其生成条件,源域属性泛化是其多样转指的内在动因。极性评价是该类构式语义表达的共有特征,其极性评价义的生成是构式赋义、极性传导和语境帮衬共同作用的结果。

＂X（de） Y＂ is an extreme evaluation expression in Chinese which can be connected to a variety of semantically feature-defined domains. The mechanism and the generative condition of its construction can be described as the category misplaced and the demonstration of the dual-domain characteristics respectively. Also, the generalization of the properties of the source domain is the motivation of the variety of the semantic transformation. It is suggested that the extreme evaluation is shared by all constructions in this type of semantic expressions. It results from construction seman- tics, limited conduction and the aid of context.
