摘要
王思明教授的新著《美洲作物在中国的传播及其影响研究》研究了玉米、甘薯(番薯)、马铃薯(土豆)、辣椒、番茄(西红柿)、花生、向日葵(葵花)、烟草、美洲棉花(陆地棉)共九种最为重要的美洲农作物的在华传播发展史,深入分析了它们传开普及的各种原因,充分论述了它们带来的积极影响和产生的重大意义,同时也指出了其中一些作物所附带的消极作用,是一本农作物传播史方面的优秀专著。
Professor Wang Siming's new work on the Introduction of American-originated Crops into China and Their Long-term Influence studies the most important nine American crops' history of spreading and development in China, including maize, sweet potato, potato, capsicum, tomato, peanut, sunflower, tobacco, American cotton (upland cotton). This book deeply analyzes the various causes to promote them spread across and popularization; It expounds fully the positive effect and great significance brought by them. It points out al- so some crops among them attached some negative role. So it is an outstanding monograph in the history of crop' s spreading.
