The public lecture is the important form of library reading promotion activities,it could upgrade the social education function of libraries.It reflects the progressiveness,the public welfare and universality of the public culture service system.In order to hold the public lecture well,libraries must adhere to the principle of the public welfare and establish the idea positioning about the protection of public culture services;increase the rich,extensive content and be close to the public;build the strong team of lecturers and the perfect lecture resource repository;mine and utilize social resources to create a multi-win situation;participate in the lecture resource sharing torrent actively;establish the innovation sense.
