摘要
"意外范畴(mirativity)"指的是,有些语言可以用某种语法手段表示"出乎意料"的信息,表达说话人"吃惊(surprise)"的语气。本文根据对一些南方汉语方言的一类意外范畴标记的分析,说明这些标记来源于言说动词,其语法化路径为:言说动词—引述标记—意外范畴标记,导致这一语法论行为的原因是转喻机制在起作用。
DeLancey （1997; 2001） introduces the category of mirativity which refers to the linguistic marking of an utterance as conveying information which is new and unexpected to the speaker. The category of mirativity has been found in some southeastern Sinitic dialects in which SAY verbs have been grammaticalized into mirative markers. Mirativity in six Wu varieties, including Suzhou, Changshu, Shanghai, Fuyang, Ningbo and Haimen dialects, together with that in a southern Min dialect and Cantonese are investigated in this paper. Firstly, this paper describes the syntactic distribution of mirative markers in the 8 Sinitic dialects. Secondly, it focuses on the pathway of grammaticalization of SAY verbs into mirative markers, which can be defined as ＂SAY verbs ~ reported markers 〉 mirative markers＂.
