党的"十六大"以来,以胡锦涛为总书记的党中央领导集体结合自主创新实践的新鲜经验,探索出了一条独具中国特色的自主创新道路。"中国特色自主创新道路"的形成和发展历程分为酝酿与萌芽、正式提出、进一步深化和发展等三个时期。"中国特色自主创新道路"的内涵既具有阶段性,也具有多层次性。"中国特色自主创新道路"的提出和发展,是从实践中总结出来的理论结晶,是时代背景提出的主题性要求,标志着党的自主创新思想体系的确立。

The CPC central leading collective with general secretary Hu Jintao explored a Chinese characteristic road of in- digenous innovation from fresh experiences of China＇s indigenous innovation practical fields since the Sixteen Conference held in 2002. The formation and development process of ＂the road of indigenous innovation with Chinese characteristics＂ is divided into three stages ： brewing and budding, formally putting forward, further deepening and developing. It is necessary to understand the meaning of ＂Indigenous Innovation Road with Chinese Characteristics＂ both from stages and multi -lev- el. As the theoretical crystallization summed up from practice, the proposal and development of ＂the road of indigenous in- novation with Chinese characteristics＂ is the theme requirements of time, and also marks the establishment of the indige- nous innovation thought system which is owned by CPC.
