Caishi, located along Chang Jiang River, key place to ,southeast, is a natural barrier for capital city Jinling of six dynasties. Because of its narrow river surface, it is the first choice for crossing south. Hence, it is very important in ancient war history. Maanshan has been suffered horrendous war damage, tremendous population casualties and severe de- struction of historical cultural remains since six dynasties.
