21世纪电子计算机与现代通信技术的高度结合,国际计算机互联网Internet在全世界的迅速扩展,标志着网络环境的形成。网络环境下,迫使图书馆文献资源建设、检索方式、服务方式等朝着数字化的方向发展,而读者则面临着越来越多的图书资料运用上的各种需求问题,对信息的需求也越来越追求个性化。图书馆传统的参考咨询服务已不能满足当前读者的需求,必须寻找新的出路。

In the 21st century, the combination of computer and modem communication and the rapidly spread of intemet indi- cates the formation of network environment. Under the network environment, the document resources construction, searching mode and service type of library developed to digital trend. However, readers are facing with more and more problems of using books and reference materials, and their information demands become more and more individuation. The traditional service of reference and consultation of library cannot meet with the new demands of reader. It is necessary to find out new ways.
