清代直隶地区的河务官

River Office in Zhili Region in the Qing Dynasty

清初直隶地区设置河务官。直至雍正八年,直隶地区河务官设置才趋于完善。乾隆朝之后,直隶地区河务官因实际需要做出局部调整。直隶河务官的设置对于保持区域乃至京师安危具有重要意义,但是在实际操作中却存在种种弊端。通过梳理治河书及地方志等资料,总结了清代直隶河务官设置的特点,同时也探讨了河务官制度本身所存在的弊端。

River Office was set up in Zhili region in early Qing Dynasty and did not come to full operation until the eighth year ofthe reign of Emperor Yongzheng. The office also underwent some adjustments after Emperor Qianlong. The setting of River Office was helpful to protect the security and stability of social life. Meanwhile, it brought some disadvantages during the actual operation. This article summarizes the characteristics of River Office in ZhiLi region and explores the disadvantages of the River Office system.
