The founding of the Open University of China(OUC) marks the beginning a new historic era,and systematical reform is inevitable,so that of curriculum design is no exception.For every Open University,whch used to be a Radio and Television University,it is necessary to assess its past experience in exploring open education,as well as to gain insights from its counterparts in other countries like British Open University,in order that its curriculum design reform would be successfully implemented and it serve best the building of lifelong educational system and learning-oriented society.
