字母词的“风波”与汉语的规范化

Crisis of Alphabet Word and the Standardization of the Chinese Language

2012年6月出版的《现代汉语词典》(第6版)沿用第3版以来的做法,适当增收了部分"西文字母开头的词语"(即通常所说的"字母词"),当年下半年出现举报《现汉》收录字母词"违法"的风波,引起社会的广泛关注。这里既有举报者断章取义的问题,也有分歧双方在汉语规范化问题认识上的差异。

Modern Chinese Dictionary （6th Ed. ） published in June 2012 follows the practice since the 3rd edition, appropriately increasing collection of ＂word beginning with western alphabet＂ （known as Alphabet Word）. The crisis of reporting collection of alphabet word in Modern Chinese Dictionary illegal occurs in the second half of the year, and it causes widespread concern in society. It owes to both the problem that the whis- tleblowers quote out of context, also the disagreements of both sides in understanding of the Chinese standardization issues.
