A Brief Analysis of Lettered Words and Its Development Trend in Network Communication

网络交际中,字母词凭借键盘直接输入的便利及书写形式的简洁,应用更加灵活、多样。研究发现,网络交际中的字母词,其数量趋于稳定,由西文字母构成的字母词整体使用上呈衰减的趋势;网络交际中的字母词因便利传播的需要而不可能消失,但将会趋向与方块汉字和汉语拼音字母并存、共生的局面。

This paper analyzes the lettered words in network communication. Lettered words are applied more flexible and diverse with the convenience of keyboard input directly and the concise written form. The study found that the number of the lettered words tend to be stable in network communication, and present a reduction trend in the use. The lettered words in network communication are not going to disappear due to the convenience of communication.
