21世纪是中国公共图书馆事业发展的黄金时期,在十多年的时间里,中国公共图书馆事业取得了丰硕成果。公共文化服务体系建成并逐步完善;阅读环境与设备不断改善;制度建设有长足进展;服务理念越来越科学、明确。通过对这些成绩的回顾,总结出中国未来图书馆事业将会继续沿着制度化、科技化、人文化的方向发展。

Twenty-first Century is our country public library development gold time, in time of more than 10 years, our country public library has achieved fruitful results. Public cultural service system build and perfect stage by stage; reader service equipment and means of improving; system construction has made considerable progress; service concept more and more scientific, clear. Based on these performance review, this paper summarizes the direction of our future libraries development is institutionalized, Scientifically ＆technological and collateralized.
