诗歌翻译的认知意象编码

Cognitive Image-Encoding in Poetry Translation

意象是认知主体主观情感体验和客观现实世界相互契合的产物。不同认知主体面对同一情景,会由于视域焦点的不同而产生不同的认知意象和不同的外部语言表征,因而意象的传达是诗歌翻译的一大难点。本文以Langacker认知语法中的意象理论为视角,结合诗歌意象和认知意象的概念,探讨四大认知识解因素,即认知域的选择、视角、突显和详细程度对于诗歌翻译的指导评价作用。本文提出,译者通过语言线索解读原作认知意象时,需根据初始认知视域加以焦点调整,以使译作认知意象与原作认知意象达到最佳相似。

Image is a union product of the intergration of the subjective emotional experience and the objective real world.Different cognitive images and linguistic representations led by conceptualizers＇ different horizon focuses would be found in the same situation.The reproduction of images is an obstacle in poetry translation.This paper attempts to account for the evaluation and guiding role of four cognitive construal factors which are selection,perspective,salience and specificity respectively in the poetry translation by taking advantage of the image theory in the cognitive grammar advanced by Langacker.By introducing the concept of poetic images and cognitive images,this paper proposes that a translator should adjust his focus according to the original cognitive horizon when interpreting images from the source text so as to reach the optimal resemblance of cognitive images between the source text and the translated text.
