对当代中国史学进行研究,首先要对一些基本问题进行廓清。目前来看,在当代中国史学研究中,存在着中华人民共和国史、当代中国史、中国现代史、中国当代史等诸多概念,造成当代史学研究中概念的模糊与混乱,有必要予以辨析和明确。史学研究,不仅仅是对历史史料的简单发掘和再现,还应当通过对历史史料的研究找出历史发展的逻辑轨迹,为现实发展提供必要的借鉴和启示。后者既是当代中国史学研究的重要内容,也是当前中国史学承载的时代任务。

In the research on Contemporary Chinese history must first clear on some basic problems. In the study of contemporary Chinese history , there is a history of People ’ s Republic of China , contemporary Chinese history , modern Chinese history , Chinese contemporary history and so on many concepts , it is necessary to analyze and clear. Historical research is not only to discover and reproduce the historical data , but also through the logical path of historical data to find out the historical development , provide the necessary reference for the development of the reality. The latter is both contemporary historical research important content , is also a task of carrying the era of Chinese historiography.
