就文学发生的心理过程而言,力比多动力说的两个关键范畴是"压抑"和"升华"。"压抑"机制里存在着政治性运作,它在压制人的一些愿望的同时也对其身心形成保护,此外,压抑中还蕴存着文学创造的契机;心理压抑机制的存在说明了文学不可能脱离政治。"升华"谋求的是社会价值的认可,进一步显示了"力比多"艺术化过程中的政治化。

When discussing the mental process of literary＇ s generation, there are two critical categories, repression and sublimation, in theory of Libido. The political operation existed in the mechanism of repression; it repressed some desires of people while protecting their mind and body. Moreover, opportunity of literary creation always exist in repression. It was explained by the mechanism of repression that the existence of literature can＇t break away from politics. The sublimation seeks the ratification of social value, in a further sign of politicisation in the artistic course of Libido.
