On the Fusing of Western Architectural Culture and Traditional Chinese Architectural Culture

西方建筑文化作为一种人本化文化形态,在与中国传统建筑文化的冲突、碰撞、交汇和融合中,自觉不自觉地对近代以来的中国建筑产生了重大影响。进入近代,西方建筑文化以锐不可挡之势,打破了中国传统建筑文化独撑天下的局面。中西建筑文化在此消彼长中改变着中国传统建筑的理念、结构、空间和手法,在交织重叠中塑造着崭新的中国建筑风貌和体系,在互动包容中构建着中国建筑新的命题和语系。在经济全球化狂飙突进和文化多元化迅猛发展的今天,探讨西方建筑文化对近现代中国传统建筑文化的影响,对于正处于城镇化时代语境中的当代中国无疑具有非常重大的现实意义。

Western architectural culture as a form of humanistic culture has conducted great influence upon Chinese architecture in modern times, during its conflict, collision, fusing and blending with Chinese tradi- tional architectural culture. Stepping into contemporary era, China~ traditional architecture culture is broken by booming western architectural culture. During such changes, Chinese architectural culture converts its con- cept, structure, space and way, shaping a brand-new Chinese theme and language family. Today, with the rapidly-developing economic globalization and cultural diversity, the paper probes into western influence upon Chinese culture of traditional architecture. It is of practical significance on China that is launching urbanization among cities and towns.
